Developmental & Intellectual Disability Support
Developmental & Intellectual Disability Support from Faith Covenant Home & Personal Care Services focuses on building skills, confidence, and community connection for adults and transition-age youth. We walk alongside individuals and families as partners, honoring each person's communication style, strengths, and goals.
Daily living skills assistance may include help with personal hygiene, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and learning to manage a daily schedule. We break tasks into manageable steps, practice together, and celebrate progress so skills can carry over into everyday life.
Our caregivers also provide behavioral guidance using calm, consistent approaches that support emotional regulation and positive choices. Behavior is observed and documented respectfully, and we coordinate with case managers, guardians, and clinical teams when needed to support person-centered planning.
Social skills support can involve practicing communication, turn-taking, and problem-solving during real-life interactions-at home, in the community, or during structured activities. We encourage participation in community programs, employment-related activities, and recreational events, offering independent living support while maintaining safety.
Services are available part-time or as more intensive daily or 24-hour arrangements, and can be combined with transportation, respite care for families, and our Adult Foster Care options for individuals requiring higher levels of supervision.
We accept Medicaid and collaborate with other insurance partners and community agencies. If you are seeking consistent, respectful developmental disabilities support that nurtures independence rather than limiting it, contact us for a free consultation to design a care plan around your loved one's unique abilities and goals.
